FindaRef started with a familiar Saturday morning: two teams, a full car park, and no referee. The refs existed. Clubs just had no reliable way to find one in time. So we built one.

Matches get called off every weekend, not because the players aren't there, but because no one confirmed a referee in time.

That was the problem worth solving. Qualified referees were already out there. What grassroots football lacked was a way to reach the right one, at the right grade, in the right area, before kick-off. FindaRef closes that gap so a missing referee stops meaning a cancelled game.

Organisers add a match with the date, location, and grade needed. It takes a couple of minutes.

We find the ref

Our matching finds a verified, FA-grade referee nearby who is available and the right grade for the game.

Confirm in the app

Both sides confirm in the app, with push and email backup. No phone tag, no group chats.

Every referee is FA-registered. We check grade, DBS status, and active registration before they take a single fixture. Organisers know exactly who they're getting.

FindaRef comes from two people who play the game and grew tired of chasing a referee every weekend.

We paired that first-hand frustration with a background in tech and business, and built the fix we always wanted. Referee booking was our problem long before it was our product.
