Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in.

2. Cookies we use

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to run secure payments. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use findaref.co.uk — for example which pages are visited and whether sign-up flows complete. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. Session cookies

When you sign in to FindaRef, we set a session cookie so you remain authenticated as you navigate the platform. This cookie expires when you sign out or close your browser.

4. Third-party cookies

Our payment provider Stripe may set cookies to prevent fraud during checkout. These are essential for secure payment processing and are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy.

5. Cookie consent

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Essential cookies always run so the site can function. If you choose essential only, GA4 does not store analytics data for your visit. You can change your choice by clearing site data in your browser and revisiting. GA4 data is retained for 14 months by default.

6. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to FindaRef.

7. Changes

We may update this policy if our cookie use changes. We will notify active users of material changes via WhatsApp or email.

8. Contact

For any questions about cookies, email hello@findaref.co.uk or visit findaref.co.uk/contact.
