FindaRef is a matchmaking platform operated by FindaRef Ltd. We provide technology that connects FA-registered referees with football match organisers. That is the full extent of our service.

FindaRef does not:

• Organise, run, or supervise sporting events or fixtures
• Employ referees or act as their agent or representative
• Provide refereeing services
• Provide safeguarding services or conduct DBS checks
• Provide insurance of any kind

Nothing on this platform creates an employment relationship, worker relationship, agency relationship, or partnership between FindaRef and any referee. Referees using FindaRef do so as independent individuals. FindaRef Ltd has no responsibility for their tax reporting, National Insurance, or compliance with employment law.

All responsibility for what happens at a fixture lies with the organiser and the referee. Organisers are solely responsible for venue safety, participant supervision, risk assessments, emergency procedures, safeguarding arrangements, and compliance with their governing body's rules.

FindaRef Ltd is not responsible for anything that happens before, during, or after a fixture, including injury, damage, disputes, or non-attendance.

Where an organiser funds a match fee through the platform, that payment is processed by Stripe using Stripe Connect. The organiser pays in the app, the funds are held on a Stripe-operated balance, and the referee's share is transferred to them after the match is confirmed complete. Stripe, not FindaRef, holds and moves the money. FindaRef charges a platform fee, shown before payment, and is not the counterparty to the officiating arrangement. See our Terms of Service for how payments, our platform fee, and refunds work. Where a fee is paid outside the platform, it is a private arrangement between the organiser and the referee and FindaRef has no involvement.

FindaRef does not guarantee that a referee will be found for every fixture. Matching depends on referee availability, grade, location, and eligibility. We accept no liability for loss of earnings, costs, or inconvenience caused by a failure to match.

FindaRef Ltd does not provide insurance of any kind. Referees and organisers are responsible for arranging their own appropriate insurance, including public liability, personal accident, and professional indemnity where relevant.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FindaRef Ltd accepts no liability for personal injury, death, illness, accidents, or property damage arising from participation in fixtures, attendance at venues, travel to or from fixtures, or the conduct of any user.

Travel to and from fixtures is entirely at the referee's own risk (or the risk of their parent or guardian where under 18). FindaRef does not arrange or reimburse travel and accepts no liability for travel-related incidents.

FindaRef does not guarantee the accuracy of information provided by users, including FA registration numbers, grades, fixture details, or availability. Users rely on this information at their own risk.

We do not guarantee the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from bugs. We accept no liability for loss of data, platform downtime, or technical failures.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, FindaRef Ltd's total liability to any user is limited to the greater of the total subscription fees paid by that user to FindaRef in the 3 months prior to the claim, or £100. This mirrors the limit in section 12 of our Terms of Service.
